Washington Grown

Amelia made one cute Foster Farms Chicken for Halloween. She dressed up, along with all her friends, for her first Halloween party. Then she turned into a tired pumpkin so she could pass out candy to all the big kids who dropped by our house. It was a great day.

Two days later it was time for more celebrating as this new mom turned 40! I can’t believe that one, but it’s true. The morning started with a bouquet of flowers and two birthday cards; one from my husband and one from my daughter. Then a few moments later the two of them presented me with a diamond necklace and matching earrings. Very special!

Our new little family headed out the door for breakfast at the Maltby CafĂ©, and then it was off to meet Amelia’s new friends for lunch at the Honey Bear Bakery. The day was a wrap with friends Mark & Dorothy. We picked up a quick dinner and then joined their son Aaron to watch the Bothell vs. Redmond high school girl’s volleyball game. It’s been a long time since I’ve been in a high school. It was fun to see what’s to come in the next years with Amelia.

Wow, great pictures. We can't say it enough, we love Amelia's hair! Amelia is turning into quite the socialite. Congratulations to Kirsten on your 40th birthday. Gene looks like he couldn't be any more proud.

Keep those pictures coming and God bless to all of you.

Oh my! The Chicken suit is HILARIOUS! Remember "The Chicken Man" on KVOK AM 560 in Kodiak? We are a long way from that Kirsten but I love seeing the joy and love on your face. I love seeing the pictures of Amelia. What an awesome family you have!

She is a beautiful little baby. How about a couple hair clips for "pre-Pippies"! Can't say I remember the Chicken Man on KVOK but I have seen Chicken Run the movie. Have you got a network of friends with babies or what? Keep the photo's coming I check often also and it does bring a smile to my face to see you three so happy and enjoying parenthood to the fullest.
