Past Due

Our due date of Monday, August 7 has now come and gone and this mother-to-be is getting very anxious. Actually, I’m just uncomfortable and simply ready to finally hold this little girl in my arms. An even better sight for me will be to see Gene holding his baby daughter. Because of everything we’ve been through in the last two years, when the moment finally arrives, we’ll likely be beside ourselves with emotion. Heck, I’m crying as I write this. Hormones… All the heartbreak of last year has been right at the surface for me as I prepare for this baby’s birth. Baby Noah Michael is never far from our thoughts.

The word from our medical team is that sometime next week I’ll be induced. I don’t have the exact date yet and am hoping she’ll arrive on her own timing over the weekend. I’d love to avoid all the medical intervention, as it does frighten me a bit. Either way, we’ll have a baby by the end of next week, August 18. E-mail me your new lottery date, time, weight, and length guess. You can even throw in a first and middle name idea if you’d like.

Cheers to a smooth and speedy delivery!

As I read your latest entry, I started to get teary eyed. Not hormones :) God has picked some pretty wonderful parents for this little girl. I will pray for an easy non-induced delivery and thanks for the update!

Yes, teary eyed is ok: tears reflect in rainbows of promise, as we read you touch our hearts. We continue prayers of confidence; as God's Strength and Love is always within such thoughtful parents.

A few names have come to mind. You know Regan, Whitney, Madison, Rose, Morgan are all great names...We are all waiting with anticipation and great hope for your delivery to be natural and the way you have planned. Regan

Okay, so my grandmother's full moon theory didn't work...how about last quarter on the 16th? Rather fitting, don't you think?

You just go ahead and cry. Hormones? I don't think so. You are about to embark on the best journey of your life, so who wouldn't be emotional? You're a mom. Baby Noah is inside you, in your heart, and he's right there with his sister. Honey, you are just filled with love!

Names? How about Caden ("fighter", Janelle or Janet ("God's gracious gift") or Pepin ("perseverence")?

Love and Prayers for a safe, quick delivery.

You know, babies have a way of coming when they're good & ready - don't sweat it, & don't worry about a few tears - you're entitled. I actually went into labor the night prior to my "induction" - what a relief! I, too, wanted to have things take their naturaly course, but either way, I guess the timing would have been right.

I've always liked the names Sarah & Rachel, with various spellings. Hannah ranks right up there, too! I have good friends who are due on the 21st - know it's a boy, but no names picked out. Dad wants to see his son - says that the name will come to him when it's right. They have 2 other boys - did the names the same way. Must say, the names fit the boys very well, so can't argue with their formula!

Peace & Patience are my wishes for you. Relax & enjoy this time - no need to be anxious - you'll hold her on the "outside" soon enough - relish this time of having her on the "inside" - the last time you don't have to share her! Remember all the wiggles & bumps - they'll be gone before you know it!

Love to You & Gene -
